Pycnanthemum muticum

Pycnanthemum muticum, commonly known as Short-Toothed Mountain Mint, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its pink and white flowers during summer. It typically matures 3–4 feet tall and 2–3 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Mid-Atlantic and Piedmont region of eastern North America. It supports Wavy-lined Emerald (Synchlora aerata) larvae. In the landscape, it works well in butterfly garden, edible garden, and native garden. Good siting and appropriate moisture help maintain its best form through the season.

Supports a more active, living garden with flowers that pollinators can use. Fits naturally into Mid-Atlantic planting palettes and habitat-minded gardens.
