Description
Pycnanthemum tenuifolium, commonly known as Slender Mountain Mint, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its pink and white flowers during fall and summer. It typically matures 2–4 feet tall and 2–3 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is North America. It supports Wavy-lined Emerald (Synchlora aerata) larvae. In the landscape, it works well in border, meadow, and naturalized area. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to drought, dry soil, and erosion.
