Stachys officinalis 'Hummelo'

Stachys officinalis 'Hummelo', commonly known as Betony, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its purple blooms flowers during fall and summer. It typically matures 1.5–2 feet tall and 1–2 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Europe, northwestern Africa, Caucasus, and Siberia. The nectar and pollen rich flowers are visited by bees, butteflies, and other pollinators. In the landscape, it works well in border, mass planting, and small groups. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to drought.

Brings more movement to the garden by drawing butterflies and other pollinators. A better candidate for landscapes with deer pressure than more browse-prone plants.
