Description
Viburnum nudum 'Winterthur', commonly known as Smooth Witherod, is a woody landscape shrub valued for its cream or tan and white flowers during spring. It typically matures 5–12 feet tall and 5–12 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Eastern and southeastern United States, from New England south to Florida and west to Texas. It is a potential host plant for the Spring Azure butterfly and hummingbird clearwing moths. In the landscape, it works well in border, foundation planting, and hedge. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to fire and wet soil.
