Quercus bicolor

Quercus bicolor, commonly known as Oak, is a woody tree or large shrub valued for its gold or yellow, green, and red or burgundy flowers during spring. It typically matures 50–60 feet tall and 50–60 feet wide. Grow it in full sun in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is South East Canada to Northern Central & Eastern U.S.A. This tree is mildly resistant to damage by deer. In the landscape, it works well in shade tree, specimen, and lawn. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut, deer, and drought.
