Leucothoe fontanesiana 'Rainbow', commonly known as Doghobble, is a woody landscape shrub valued for its white flowers during spring. It typically matures 2–6 feet tall and 4–8 feet wide. Grow it in partial to deep shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is South Eastern U.S.A. Its flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators. In the landscape, it works well in accent, hedge, and specimen. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer, erosion, and heavy shade.
