Lagerstroemia 'Pocomoke'

Lagerstroemia 'Pocomoke', commonly known as Lagerstroemia ornamental, is a woody landscape shrub valued for its dark pink flowers during fall and summer. It typically matures 2–5 feet tall and 2–5 feet wide. Grow it in full sun in average to occasionally dry, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Tropical and subtropical Asia, India, Northern Australia. Food plant of some moth and butterfly larvae. In the landscape, it works well in foundation planting, hedge, and mass planting. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to drought.

Provides seasonal color and texture and may support pollinators or other garden wildlife.
