Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Cumulus'

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Cumulus', commonly known as False Cypress, is a woody evergreen conifer valued for its foliage, form, and structural presence. It typically matures 50–70 feet tall and 3–20 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Japan. Its dense branching can provide shelter and nesting cover for birds. In the landscape, it works well in border, foundation planting, and screen/privacy. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to drought.

Provides durable landscape structure, screening or specimen value, and seasonal interest.
