Heliopsis helianthoides 'Forged in Fire'

Heliopsis helianthoides 'Forged in Fire', commonly known as False Sunflower, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its orange and yellow flowers during fall and summer. It typically matures 3–6 feet tall and 2–4 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is SE Canada, and the North Central and Eastern United States. Its flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators. In the landscape, it works well in accent, border, and mass planting. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer, drought, and dry soil.

Provides seasonal color and texture and may support pollinators or other garden wildlife.
