Description
Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Glauca', commonly known as Nootka Falsecypress, is a woody evergreen conifer valued for its foliage, form, and structural presence. It typically matures 20–120 feet tall and 8–30 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Alaska to British Columbia and Washington, Cascades to Oregon. Its dense branching can provide shelter and nesting cover for birds. In the landscape, it works well in accent, barrier, and border. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to insect pests, pollution, and wind.
