Description
Anemone virginiana, commonly known as Windflower, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its white flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 2–4 feet tall and 1–2 feet wide. Grow it in partial to deep shade in moist, well-drained loamy soil. Its native range or documented parentage is North America. Its flowers or fruit attract bees. In the landscape, it works well in mass planting, naturalized area, and woodland. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut, deer, and diseases.
