Ligularia 'Desdemona'

Ligularia 'Desdemona', commonly known as Ligularia, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its yellow flowers. It typically matures 1–3 feet tall and 1–3 feet wide. Grow it in partial shade to shade in average, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Eastern Asia, especially China and Japan. Its flowers can provide seasonal forage for bees and other beneficial insects. In the landscape, it works well in mixed borders, mass plantings, and pollinator gardens. Good siting and appropriate moisture help maintain its best form through the season.

Brings more movement to the garden by drawing butterflies and other pollinators. A better candidate for landscapes with deer pressure than more browse-prone plants.
