Description
Carex morrowii 'Ice Dance', commonly known as Japanese Sedge, is a clump-forming ornamental grass or sedge valued for its green flowers during spring. It typically matures 1–1.5 feet tall and 1–1.5 feet wide. Grow it in full sun through deep shade in moist, well-drained loamy soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Central & S. Japan. Its flowers or fruit attract small mammals and songbirds. In the landscape, it works well in mass planting, container, and riparian. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to wet soil.
Benefits
