Description
Pulmonaria 'Raspberry Splash', commonly known as Lungwort, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its pink, purple or lavender, and red or burgundy flowers during spring. It typically matures 6–12 inches tall and 1–2 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Europe and western Asia. Its flowers can provide seasonal forage for bees and other beneficial insects. In the landscape, it works well in border, mass planting, and walkways. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut, deer, and rabbits.
Benefits
Creates an early-season lift after winter with fresh color and growth. Brings more movement to the garden by drawing butterflies and other pollinators. A better candidate for landscapes with deer pressure than more browse-prone plants.
Features
Pulmonaria 'Raspberry Splash' produces pink flowers and provides cultivar-specific ornamental interest.
