Quercus palustris

Quercus palustris, commonly known as Oak, is a woody tree or large shrub valued for its gold or yellow and green flowers during spring. It typically matures 50–70 feet tall and 40–60 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is South Ontario to North Central & Eastern U.S.A. It attracts songbirds, water birds, ground birds and mammals. In the landscape, it works well in shade tree, specimen, and street tree. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer, heat, and pollution.
