Picea orientalis 'Skylands'

Picea orientalis 'Skylands', commonly known as Caucasian Spruce, is a woody evergreen conifer valued for its foliage, form, and structural presence. It typically matures 8–35 feet tall and 10–12 feet wide. Grow it in full sun in moist, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Asia minor. Browsers, Nesting birds, Songbirds. In the landscape, it works well in accent, specimen, and lawn. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to drought and poor soil.

Gives the garden year-round structure, texture, and winter presence. A better candidate for landscapes with deer pressure than more browse-prone plants.
