Pinus mugo 'Pesto'

Pinus mugo 'Pesto', commonly known as Pine, is a woody evergreen conifer valued for its foliage, form, and structural presence. It typically matures 20–25 feet tall and 25–30 feet wide. Grow it in full sun in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Mountains of central and southern Europe. It supports Imperial Moth (Eacles imperialis) larvae which have one brood per season and appear from April-October in the south. In the landscape, it works well in accent, border, and foundation planting. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer, drought, and pollution.
