Description
Aucuba 'Gold Dust', commonly known as Aucuba, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its brown or copper and purple or lavender flowers during spring. It typically matures 6–28 feet tall and 2–10 feet wide. Grow it in partial to deep shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Asia. Its flowers can provide seasonal forage for bees and other beneficial insects. In the landscape, it works well in accent, foundation planting, and small tree. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to heat and heavy shade.
