Description
Geranium maculatum 'Espresso', commonly known as Wild Geranium, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its pale purple-pink flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 1.17–1.5 feet tall and 1–1.5 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is SE. Canada to Central & Eastern U.S.A. Nectar from flowers attracts butterflies, bees and other pollinators. In the landscape, it works well in mass planting, meadow, and naturalized area. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer, dry soil, and fire.
