Description
Euonymus japonicus 'Silver King', commonly known as Euonymus, is a woody landscape shrub valued for its green, red or burgundy, and white flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 10–15 feet tall and 5–8 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Korea, Japan to Nansei-shoto. Its flowers can provide seasonal forage for bees and other beneficial insects. In the landscape, it works well in border, hedge, and naturalized area. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut, drought, and salt.
