Description
Baptisia 'Decadence Sparkling Sapphires', commonly known as False Indigo, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its bright violet blue flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 3–4 feet tall and 3–4 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Central and eastern North America. It attracts bees and is a host plant for the ashgray blister beetle (adult version). In the landscape, it works well in border, coastal, and meadow. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer, diseases, and drought.
