Description
Muhlenbergia capillaris, commonly known as Pink Muhly Grass, is a clump-forming ornamental grass or sedge valued for its pink flowers during fall. It typically matures 2–3 feet tall and 2.33–3 feet wide. Grow it in full sun in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Central & Eastern U.S.A. to Guatemala and Caribbean. It provides excellent cover year-round. In the landscape, it works well in border, mass planting, and coastal. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut, deer, and drought.
