Description
Deschampsia 'Pixie Fountain', commonly known as Hair Grass, is a clump-forming ornamental grass or sedge valued for its green aging to golden tan flowers. It typically matures 1–3 feet tall and 1–3 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in average, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Cool-temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Its flowers can provide seasonal forage for bees and other beneficial insects. In the landscape, it works well in mass plantings, meadows, and mixed borders. Good siting and appropriate moisture help maintain its best form through the season.
Benefits
