Description
Wisteria macrostachya 'Blue Moon', commonly known as Native American Wisteria, is a climbing or trailing perennial valued for its purple to white flowers during spring. It typically matures 15–40 feet tall and 4–8 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Eastern United States. Host plant for Zarucco Duskywing and Long-Tailed Skipper butterflies. In the landscape, it works well in screen/privacy, rock wall, and slope/bank. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer.
