Hibiscus syriacus 'Blue Chiffon', commonly known as Rose of Sharon, is a woody landscape shrub valued for its light blue flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 8–12 feet tall and 6–10 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is S. China, Taiwan. Attractive to hummingbirds. In the landscape, it works well in flowering tree, hedge, and recreational play area. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer, heat, and salt.
