Description
Anemone 'Wild Swan', commonly known as Anemone, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its white or violet purple flowers during fall, spring, and summer. It typically matures 1–4 feet tall and 1–8 inches wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is U.S.A , Russia, Asia, Africa and South America, Europe. Its flowers or fruit attract bees and butterflies. In the landscape, it works well in border, small groups, and container. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer and rabbits.
Benefits
Extends color and interest into the part of the season when many gardens start to fade. Brings more movement to the garden by drawing butterflies and other pollinators. A better candidate for landscapes with deer pressure than more browse-prone plants.
