Lonicera sempervirens 'Major Wheeler'

Lonicera sempervirens 'Major Wheeler', commonly known as Honeysuckle, is a climbing or trailing perennial valued for its red-magenta flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 10–20 feet tall and 3–6 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Southeastern United States. Its flowers are attractive to hummingbirds, bees, butterflies and some moth pollinators. In the landscape, it works well in accent, border, and specimen. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut, compaction, and deer.
