Ajuga reptans 'Burgundy Glow', commonly known as Ajuga reptans, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its purple flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 6–12 inches tall and 6–12 inches wide. Grow it in full sun through deep shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Europe, western Asia, and northern Africa. It attracts bumblebees, hummingbirds and songbirds. In the landscape, it works well in mass planting, container, and meadow. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut, deer, and foot traffic.
