Acorus gramineus 'Ogon'

Acorus gramineus 'Ogon', commonly known as Sweetflag, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its gold or yellow, green, and insignificant flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 6–12 inches tall and 6–12 inches wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Japan, Korea and eastern Asia. Its flowers can provide seasonal forage for bees and other beneficial insects. In the landscape, it works well in accent, border, and mass planting. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to erosion and wet soil.

Adds texture and coverage to water gardens or consistently wet containers. A better candidate for landscapes with deer pressure than more browse-prone plants. Useful for solving damp, wet, or pond-edge planting conditions.
