Clematis 'Alaina'

Clematis 'Alaina', commonly known as Clematis, is a climbing or trailing perennial valued for its mid pink flowers during fall, spring, and summer. It typically matures 1–4 feet tall and 1–3 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is N. America, Europe, India, Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand. Clematis leaves are food for the caterpillars of some Lepidoptera species, including the willow beauty (Peribatodes rhomboidaria). In the landscape, it works well in accent, screen/privacy, and specimen. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut, deer, and rabbits.

Provides seasonal color and texture and may support pollinators or other garden wildlife.
