Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy'

Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy', commonly known as Redbud, is a woody tree or large shrub valued for its pink flowers during spring. It typically matures 20–30 feet tall and 25–35 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Eastern and central North America, NC to E. Mexico. Butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators are attracted to the flower nectar. In the landscape, it works well in accent, flowering tree, and shade tree. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to black walnut and deer.
