Description
Helleborus 'Glenda's Gloss', commonly known as Lenten Rose Frostkiss¬Æ 'Glenda's Gloss', is a herbaceous perennial valued for its white or violet-pink flowers during spring and winter. It typically matures 1–2 feet tall and 1.5–2.5 feet wide. Grow it in partial shade in average, well-drained loamy soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Europe or Asia. Its flowers can provide seasonal forage for bees and other beneficial insects. In the landscape, it works well in border, mass planting, and small groups. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer and rabbits.
Benefits
Brings more movement to the garden by drawing butterflies and other pollinators. A better candidate for landscapes with deer pressure than more browse-prone plants. Helps make lower-light garden areas feel intentional instead of bare.
