Skimmia japonica 'Male'

Skimmia japonica 'Male', commonly known as Skimmia ornamental, is a woody landscape shrub valued for its cream or tan and white flowers during spring. It typically matures 2–7 feet tall and 3–5 feet wide. Grow it in partial to deep shade in moist, well-drained garden soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Southern Russia Far East, Japan to Taiwan. It attracts birds. In the landscape, it works well in border, foundation planting, and hedge. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer and heavy shade.

Provides seasonal color and texture and may support pollinators or other garden wildlife.
