Buxus 'Green Mountain'

Buxus 'Green Mountain', commonly known as Boxwood, is a woody landscape shrub valued for its cream or tan, gold or yellow, and green flowers during spring. It typically matures 4–5 feet tall and 2–3 feet wide. Grow it in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is Europe and Asia. Its flowers or fruit attract bees. In the landscape, it works well in accent, barrier, and border. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer and rabbits.

Builds the middle layer of the garden, adding structure between perennials and trees. A better candidate for landscapes with deer pressure than more browse-prone plants.
