Veronicastrum virginicum 'Erica'

Veronicastrum virginicum 'Erica', commonly known as Veronicastrum ornamental, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its pink flowers during spring and summer. It typically matures 4–7 feet tall and 2–4 feet wide. Grow it in full sun in moist, well-drained clay or loam soil. Its native range or documented parentage is North America. Both long and short tongued bees collect pollen and nectar as do honeybees, bumblebees, mason bees, green metallic bees and masked bees. In the landscape, it works well in accent, meadow, and naturalized area. Once established, it shows useful tolerance to deer and wet soil.

Provides seasonal color and texture and may support pollinators or other garden wildlife.
